What to Expect

Join us at 6.15am prompt for a short introduction to the market, how it operates and some of the fascinating history. We then take you onto the market to talk about species identification and quality assessment.

After the visit you return to the school kitchens for a light breakfast and a question and answer session.

Who should attend

We deliver this course once a month and it is open to anyone who is interested in fish: private individuals, private companies, chefs and catering students.

If you would like a bespoke or private visit all you need to do is contact us to make arrangements. We can arrange this for groups from 4 to 12.

If you would like a proper 'fish' breakfast (or even a glass of Bucks Fizz after the visit) we can arrange this as at excellent rate. Just make contact with us by telephone or email.

What you take home

A glimpse into the day to day workings of this historic fish market.

Can I buy Fish

Definitely - all you need to do is bring cash and a cool bag. Let us know when you arrive at the school that you intend to buy and we will ensure that we allocate time to do this as part of the visit.

You don't need to know exactly what you want to purchase as we can offer advice about choice.
