The
Company has intrinsic links with the fish industry dating
back over 700 years. During this period it has been actively
involved in establishing and maintaining industry standards
and in educational work.

House Estates Trust Fund
The
Corporation of London administers this trust fund to undertake
the maintenance of the four bridges which cross the Thames
into the City. Over the centuries the fund has grown as rents
and bequests have accrued, which enables it to provide vital
charitable help. The Bridge House Estates Trust Fund makes
grants in excess of £16million a year for charitable
projects benefiting the inhabitants of Greater London.

This
is a leading body for the development of operational standards,
vocational qualifications and training for the sea fish industry.

John Cass Foundation
Sir
John Cass's Foundation has supported education in London for
over 250 years. Now a major educational charity, it takes
its name from its founder, Sir John Cass. He was born in the
City of London in 1661 and became both an Alderman and Sherrif.
He was also MP for the City and knighted in 1713.

Fish Merchant's Association
There
are 55 merchants based at the market. The benefits of establishing
the School at the Market are obvious - it will create a means
of publicising the Market, the fish industry and increase
a greater demand for consuming fish and fish products.

keep the Market at the forefront of the industry.
